Pipelaying

This 5-day course involves shoring, setting batter boards and stringlines, and laying of vitrified and concrete pipe with a heavy emphasis on trench safety. Stringline and various laser set-ups used for slope and grade controls.

Graduates are required to demonstrate proficiency in safely shoring and demonstrate an understanding of the mathematics needed to compute slope and determine cuts at any given point as well as preparing bed, making bell holes, laying and connecting pipe to line and grade.
