Field Rigging Practices
A one-week class of basic knowledge in hoisting and rigging practices and crane signaling. The course content includes:
Terminology
Types of tackle
Inspection
Proper rigging procedures
Calculation of center of gravity
Calculation of the proper size tackle
Hands-on and written exam for crane signaling
The student must pass both a written exam and a hands-on evaluation.
